"When I paint or take a photograph, time
literally stops and is altered... I compress the repetitions
of a periodic process within that stopped unit of time, and
this penetrates the photo or painting. A frequency develops,
a trap door opens and a new vibration is born. Through these
pathways of change, direction and creation are recognized,
illuminated and brought forward. "
Film photographs are converted to digitized
images. Penney's photographs are of black & white or color
representational scenes of nature. In addition, she creates
photographic abstracts of silk pieces. Photographs sold by
Ms. Leyshon are one of a kind. 11" x 14" are priced at $300 - $450.
All photographs are protected in archival
plastic and professionally shipped. Once received, photos
should be treated delicately until matted and framed. They
may also be hung with tape (in the plastic) or placed on a
flat surface.
